Explorer Software - Calibration
The calibration capability of the software has been extensively upgraded. In particular, you no longer loose a calibration (and a half-hour of work) if you make a numerical data entry error during calibration.
- A Calibration Setup-Wizard is now used to setup the calibration mode, the standards, the and dilutions associated with the calibration.
- Each calibration addition now consists of 0 - 5 "pre-scans" that are made and discarded, and 1 - 4 "measurement-scans" that are averaged together prior to peak-finding and inclusion into the calibration data set.
- Manual edits to the baseline(s) of the averaged calibration scans can be performed as the calibration proceeds or after the calibration is finished.
- The calibration Summary has been grouped into a single tabbed dialog showing the calibration calculation and graph, the additions, the dilutions and starting volume and the peak-data.
- The starting volume can be edited after the calibration has been finished.
- The additions made during the calibration can be edited after the calibration has been finished.
- The concentration of the standards used can be edited after the calibration has been finished.
- Any of the calibration data points can be omitted from the calibration best-fit calculation (on a scan-by-scan basis) after the calibration has been finished. Omitted points are still displayed on the calibration curve.
- The calibration routine now supports calibrations using standards that consist of mixtures of metals.
- The calibration routine no longer requires that the metals to be calibrated display a peak for that metal in the first calibration scan.
- We now associate with each calibration a complete dilution/concentration calculation.
- The new Calibration Summary Page shows results of the calibration or MSN measurement.
